Read our report on healthcare experiences during the pandemic

18 September 2023

Earlier this year we undertook a survey of members and supporters as part of our work for the official Covid-19 Inquiry. We wanted to better understand how healthcare in care homes was affected during the pandemic, and nearly 300 people responded to the survey.

The responses we received matched what we had heard on our helpline time and again since the beginning of the pandemic; too many people were denied access to the healthcare that they needed.

From being unable to see their GP face-to-face, to deeply troubling issues around the issuing of Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) decisions, our report raises a number of serious concerns.

The report forms an important part of our evidence submission to module 3 of the Covid-19 Inquiry. Read the report in full.
